Cosigned by Diplo in Vanity Fair magazine was New Jersey's DJ Mike Q, who headlines at GHE20GOTH1K's fourth anniversary Halloween rave in Brooklyn. Just in time for the occasion, he made a bootleg of "Y.A.L.A." - a single from M.I.A.'s forthcoming album Matangi - giving it a feel in line with the vogue/ballroom flair for which he is growing in renown. A bass heavy track that's happily stuck in a perpetual breakdown, the vocal sample of "guns go off when I enter the building" definitely gives the track a certain impact that makes it perfect for peak hour (or in the case of his black and latino gay culture driven Vogue Nights party, early in the morning) mayhem.
