Post Malone enjoyed some beer out of a stranger’s sneaker during a recent performance in Sydney, Australia, video shows.
Posty was opening for the Red Hot Chili Peppers when he was handed a low-top white sneaker, which he then poured the contents of his red solo cup into.
“How did we get here?” he asks the hyped crowd, who proceeded to chant “chug” in unison. Posty obliged and guzzled the beverage before bowing and handing the moist shoe back to its owner. Post was also filmed doing bizarre tricks with his microphone, and tugging at his clothes in a passionate manner as he sang.
While the video shows a thinner Post Malone, a source close to the artists informed TMZ that he’s not sick or on drugs and that he’s the “healthiest he’s been in years,” both “mentally and physically.” The source added that he’s thin because he’s been dieting and working out.
Post Malone recently wrapped up his Twelve Carat Tour, which was in support of his fourth studio album Twelve Carat Toothache, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 last June. While the tour was mostly a success, there were a few rough moments, including multiple injuries that befell the “I Fall Apart” singer along the way.
In September, Post’s show was interrupted for 15 minutes after he took a nasty fall at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis. As Post descended down a ramp, he slipped into the trap door that had previously been opened up to lower his guitar below the stage.
A week later, Post Malone learned he had gotten a bruised rib from the incident and was forced to skip his Boston show to recover. He rescheduled the performance for October 10, but then while performing his hit song “Psycho” in Atlanta 10 days later, stepped into a pyrotechnic hole and rolled his ankle. He tried to continue performing but was aided offstage by a few stagehands.
