In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Kodak Black collaborated with radio host Supa Cindy on Tuesday to host an event in support of those that suffered from the disease.

At the Miami event, Kodak, donning an all-pink wardrobe, donated resources including money and wigs to help both survivors of the disease and those still battling it, per VladTV. “I know they’ll appreciate it,” Kodak told local news outlet Local 10. “Show these women they’re queens, they’re strong, they’re going to get through it. Pray with them, we’re going to get through it together.” All in all, there were 22 survivors who were treated to lunch at the event. NBC Miami reports that each woman received flowers, a wig, and a gift card.

Cindy, who helped organize the event with Kodak and the radio station 99Jamz, relayed through her team that most of the initiative came from the Florida rapper himself, with her team indicating to VladTV that Kodak personally wanted to “do something for women who are battling, have battled or survived cancer.”

The event was a welcome bit of good press for the rapper, who in September was required to enter a treatment program after failing a court-mandated drug test. He most recently had to address concerned fans who saw him grabbing his mom’s butt in a viral video. “When I see my mama, homie, I adore her, homie,” Kodak said on an Instagram live stream. “I kiss her feet, homie, what you talkin’ bout boy… Some of you n***as don’t even holla at your mama. Some of you n***as don’t even call your mama, homie. Some of you n***as don’t even spend time with your mama, homie.”

He clarified that the butt touching was just a way of showing his mom she’s beautiful. “I don’t f*ck my mama, we ain’t doin’ no crazy shit,” Kodak explained. “I grab her, like I make her feel real beautiful. I remind my mama, ‘You beautiful, I’m f*cked up bout you ma, I’m in love with you.’”
