Canterbury Crescent Filmworks, the film production company behind the Drop The Needle documentary, has been keeping the classic Canadian rap video flame lit by posting clips on its Twitter account daily.

Its most recent clip is the video for “Crabuuckit,” the lead single from K-os’ 2004 album Joyful Rebellion.

“The first single off the landmark 2004 ‘Joyful Rebellion’ album from K-os was titled ‘Crabbuckit’,” the tweet wrote. “It was the 1st hip hop song to win the Juno award for Single of the Year. It’s also, perhaps, the most covered Canadian Hip Hop song ever! Who remembers this one?”

Yesterday, it covered “Dear Hip Hop,” the debut single from Dan-e-o, who was fresh off a win in a rap contest on Much Music’s Electric Circus.

After winning a rap contest on Much Music's Electric Circus, Dan-e-o would see his debut single 'Dear Hip Hop' included on 1996's Rap Essentials compilation album. Produced by Scam, the song would become a bonafide 90s classic! Who remembers this one? pic.twitter.com/vfVEPXQB8n

On April 28, the account celebrated the funky “Money Part 1” from Jelleestone which released in 2001.

Jelleestone released his debut album 'Jelleestone Thirteen' in late summer of 2001. The lead single 'Money (Part 1)' became a chart climbing success, hitting the top 40 in Canada and #75 on Billboard's singles chart. Who remembers this one? pic.twitter.com/JIZl2Now6K

The history lessons continue every weekday and they cover nearly every important moment in Canadian hip-hop history.

Formed in 1997, Brassmunk consisted of S-Roc, Clip, May-19 and Agile. (King Reign would replace May-19 in 2006. Reign sadly passed away in 2016). The group released the Mr. Attic produced single "Big" in 2002, off the Juno nominated 'Dark Sunrise' album. Who remembers this one? pic.twitter.com/lAR6aoj3AO
