LOLAWOLF dropped its latest album, Calm Down, last month and today, the group—comprised of Zoe Kravitz, Jimmy Giannopoulos and James Levy—is back with the video for the title track off the project. "Calm Down" was shot earlier this year in Brooklyn at Kenny Scharf's studio in Bushwick, and according to Kravitz, it was one of three videos made in three days including "Jimmy Franco" and "Stay With Me." The song, and album name, is a little mantra, Kravitz says. "A reminder when life is crazy and intense (like the beat of the song) to calm yourself down. You can interpret in different ways—I'll leave that up the listener. "

"For 'Calm Down,' Jon Hoeg (the director) and the band were inspired by Kenny Scharf's art and space," Kravitz tells Complex. "There was quite a bit of improvising, working with the images and materials in the studio.  We picked up some face paint and glitter, which worked well within the setting."

As for inspiration behind this album, Kravitz attributes a lot of it to what her and the crew were listening to while recording. "Jimmy and I were listening to a lot of 90s hip-hop when we recorded the new album—TLC, Aaliyah, Tribe Called Quest, Missy Elliot, as well as newer stuff like ASAP Rocky and Kendrick Lamar," Kravitz says. "We also wrote and recorded a lot of the songs in the Bahamas so the combination of those two things definitely influenced the sound."

LOLAWOLF will headline Rough Trade in NYC on Dec. 17. Watch their latest video above and grab their album on iTunes right now, or stream it on Spotify here.
