Canadian rap artist Night Lovell released the highly anticipated music video for his lead single ‘My Day is Ruined!’ from his upcoming new studio album I Hope You're Happy.
The Ottawa native expands on the sound that's made him big since the mid-2010s, and feeds off the single's dark and atmospheric sound to explore themes of anger, frustration, and a desire for control in the highly cinematic video.
Throughout the music video, Lovell portrays 6 different characters, in this multi-chapter sequenced video. All of them involve a harsh reality of scenes that leads his characters to having their days ultimately ruined, in typically gruesome fashion.
Lovell was one of the directors behind this video alongside Avery Stedman. The two have also joined forces in shooting Lovell’s music video "Eye Spy." The clip was shot in Toronto
I Hope You're Happy is set to drop December 8th, 2023. Lovell’s new recent single "Freak" with Freddie Dredd is also out now on streaming platforms.
