Nardwuar the Human Serviette is usually the one giving the interviews, but at this year's Camp Flog Gnaw, Montreality turned the tables by interviewing the Canadian icon.

Known for his outrageous personality and deep musical knowledge, Nardwuar definitely comes across as an even more unique guy when answering the questions. He offered a lot of advice to those starting out.

Some pearls of wisdom from Nardwuar during the interview:

When he was 10 years old he was into running, but couldn't win any races. But as he got older, more people dropped out an eventually he'd win because he was the only one running.

"Don't give up. Keep trying. Don't think you're going to come in last," he says.

He also talked about accessible stations he was involved with in British Columbia when he was young.

"Join your local college radio station," he adds, before getting into a personal story about an early interview.

"I once did an interview with Nirvana, I played it, the audio only on CITR Radio, it was an audio only interview. Nobody phoned in, nobody! This was 1994, nobody cared! A lot of kids come to me these days and say stuff like 'oh my god, I did an interview, it only got four views.' That's four more people than heard my Nirvana interview in 1994. So keep with it, keep going, keep doing it."

He also said he loves cheese, but now he eats salads. Also at Camp Flog Gnaw, Nardwuar and Tyler, the Creator talked about the state music journalism.
