Kaytranada surprised music fans this week, closing out 2023 by releasing double- single “Lover/Friend” featuring Rochelle Jordan with “Stuntin” featuring Channel Tres.

"Lover/Friend & Stuntin’ out everydamnwhere!" he said in the Instagram post.

The single "Lover/Friend" with Toronto R&B singer Rochelle Jordan is the groovier of the two new tracks. American artist Channel Tres shows off his range with his verse on "Stuntin'." He also dropped the instrumentals to both tracks.

Kaytranada is coming off a massive year of touring with The Weeknd across South America and Europe. He also joined forces with Portland rapper Aminé to create the duo Kaytraminé. They dropped their debut album in May.

The artist also revealed on Twitter/X that he's finished his long-awaited follow-up to 2019's Bubba. "Album. finito." he said, offering up no other details. It's the same way he announced that Bubba was on the way.
