Avicii's "Wake Me Up," aka the song that EDM fans didn't take to at first, but a song that's ultimately crossed over both in the United Kingdom and here in America, has gained another accolade. Billboard is reporting that it has not only sat at the top of the Dance/Mixshow Airplay chart for six weeks, but has climbed to #1 on the Triple A (aka "adult album alternative") chart. Hitting #1 on the dance charts AND the adult alternative charts at the same damn time? That's definitely indicative of where the state of mainstream music is going, for good or ill, and gives us a new perspective of Afrojack's "The Spark."
