Vince Staples has released the video for his new single "Blue Suede," a new song which will hopefully hold fans over until his new project Hell Can Wait releases. The chaotic instrumental provided by Toronto producer Hagler Tyrant is a backdrop for Vince to rap about starting from the bottom and wanting new Jordans with the suede material. In the black-and-white video directed by C. Blacksmith, a storyline plays out at a BBQ while Vince is getting off his menacing lyrics from the roof of the house.
As his popularity rises with co-signs from Common to Jhene Aiko, Vince has gained the right to be cocky and he displays that confidence on this song. Download "Blue Suede" on iTunes here.
