Lil Wayne's Sorry 4 the Wait 2 is on its way. Here's the first cut from the long-awaited tape, which Mack Maine has been teasing all weekend (it's likely coming this week). Here, Weezy takes over the instrumental from Future's club-smash "Sh!t." We've seen fellow Young Money man Drake add his bars to in the past—it's a ground-swelling, ceiling crashing monster of a beat, but Wayne's too excitable nowadays to not contribute well-positioned, energized bars. Lil Wayne sounds SHARP on this one, and he even threw in a dig at everyone sleeping on his next album. In describing how his friends and family have been feeling about Tha Carter IV being delayed: "I'm bumping Carter V on my iPod, my bitch is mad cuz it's not out yet/She said, 'Soon as these n***** hear your new shit, they gon' have to get they styles back,'" he raps.
There's currently no release date set for Tha Carter V, but with raps like this, hopefully Wayne can push for a drop.
