R&B artist and former Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star K. Michelle recently sat down with Hollywood Unlocked’s Jason Lee for a no holds barred interview, and she really let it all out when talking about her previous relationship with Idris Elba. The two dated briefly back in 2014, and she seems to remember the relationship fondly, with one thing standing out in particular: the sex.
“Out of every relationship I’ve been in, I learned the most from him,” Michelle said. “He was a gentleman, very supportive.” She’s then asked about the sex, and she says: “Amazing head. It was good! I remember that head!”
Actually, the whole story is delightful (it starts at about the 5 minute mark of the video above.) Michelle says that at the time she met Elba, she had been hanging out with Meek Mill (though she insists the two never slept together or dated) since they were friends and signed to the same label. At the Soul Train awards in 2013, when she performed and won Best New Artist, she suddenly heard an English accent behind her.
“I’m walking off the stage and I hear this accent say, ‘K. Michelle, you’re beautiful,’” she said. “I told him to his face, ‘Your jeans too tight and your accent funny.’ I didn’t have no [filter.] I was straight outta Memphis.” Later that night, though, Elba charmed her by getting the DJ to dedicate “Never Trust a Big Butt and a Smile” to her. She didn’t even give him her number, though—her bodyguard did. Some time passed, and they started dating, even though he told her he would “never be committed to one woman.”
Of course, Elba is now engaged, but Michelle just chalks that up to his fiancé having “some sauce.” If Elba still has the same skills as he did a few years ago, then she’s a very lucky woman.
