Melody-driven rapper/singer Kida Kudz, 24, is ready to make his mark on the British music scene and the rest of the world.

Born in Nigeria and raised in between London and Essex, growing up on a diet of traditional West African afrobeat (see: Fela Kuti) has formed the backbone of the artist's current sound — while adding darker, electronic grooves to birth his very own 'Afroswank' genre. But Kida's not as new as you think: he's worked with the likes of Ms Banks, Burna Boy and Jevon on songs, but he's now in the best place to prove his worth having been signed to Disturbing London.

"Jiggy Bop" is the title of Kida's latest single, which follows the song "Issa Vibe" from 2018. Produced by Sons Of Sonix, the flute-driven track sees him rap-croon over the beat with total ease, with a hook you won't forget in a hurry. "I walked in the studio and I told my producers, 'I need to make an anthem', and we made this banger in an hour," says Kudz. "'Jiggy Bop' is a liberating, feel-good song and please: feel free to do any moves your body tells you to."

Shot in-between London and Lagos, watch exclusively above as Kudz kicks it with friends and locals in the Ashleigh Jadee and Sanjo Omosa-directed visuals. "Jiggy Bop" is out now on all streaming platforms.
