Kodak Black has inked Brooklyn native 22Gz to his Sniper Gang label. The announcement of the 22Gz signing feels like the worst kept secret considering he’s had a close affiliation with Kodak’s crew for a little while now.

22Gz posted a photo of himself with Kodak on Instagram in late September that included the caption, "GANG GANG GANG."

The following week, 22Gz posted another photo where he was rocking a Sniper Gang hoody.

22Gz, born Jeffrey Alexander, was arrested in May 2017 and charged with second-degree murder with a deadly weapon, as well as second-degree attempted murder with a deadly weapon/firearm, following a dispute in Miami which led to the death of Ladarian Tyrell Phillips. An argument between Phillips and 22Gz, who was 19 at the time, and his three friends over a parking space escalated when the Brooklyn native allegedly fired multiple shots that fatally struck Phillips in the back, and hit his friend in the leg.

22Gz was, however, able to avoid significant jail time for the incident.
