The nominations for this year’s BRIT Awards have been announced and it’s proving to be a big year.

Raye bags an unheard-of seven nominations, including Artist Of The Year, Mastercard Album Of The Year, Best New Artist, Pop Act, R&B Act, and receives two nominations in Song Of The Year with Mastercard. The record for most nominations was held jointly by Robbie Williams, Craig David and Gorillaz who have previously each earned six nominations in one year.

It’s also a big year for UK rap. J Hus and Central Cee have for nominations each, and Little Simz and Dave have each scooped three.

Also making the news is the BRITs’ decision to separate pop and R&B categories having drawn ire in previous years for not recognising the two as distinct genres. Controversially, rap, grime and drill remain in the same category.

You can see the full list below. The winners will be revealed at The BRIT Awards with Mastercard on Saturday, March 2nd at The O2 arena, broadcast live on ITV1 and ITVX.
