Before adopting the Lyves moniker, musician and singer-songwriter Francesca Bergami has been making music in one form or another since she was just 11 years old. In spite of that, Bergami almost opted for a life away from music, but fortunately came to her senses in the early 2010s and eventually released her debut EP Like Water in 2017.
Now she's back with her latest offering, "100", a rousing piece of music that's grand and cinematic in scale. Rising to the occasion, her voice sounds more powerful than ever, matching the emotive strings with a powerful and deeply soulful vocal performance. While past efforts often been minimalist in their approach, "100" still retains an element of that at times, but for the most part this is Lyves at her most powerful and emotionally charged.
