In celebration of Mother’s Day, Kaniva is back with a brand new video, “Mummy Says 3”. A beautiful tribute to his mother, it’s also a raw and profoundly honest piece of writing.
Produced by Tryp and Wonda, it’s a heartfelt continuation of the “Mummy Says” series of singles he started way back in 2018. Four years after that first edition and the South London rhymer returns with the third edition, and he lays it all out.
From his childhood and his parents divorce to his struggle to adjust to fatherhood and his own mental health, this is Kaniva at his most personal and upfront. Stripping back any facades and fronts, he even goes into dealing with the grief he wrestled with after the passing of his parents and some of his friends. So it’s really quite incredible that, even through all of that, he’s managed to achieve so much in music.
