We may technically be still in spring, but we’ve caught a couple of rays already and the beer gardens have seen a bit of action, so it’s hard not to feel like summer is well on the way. Arriving in plenty of time for the approaching sun is a new bubbler from p-rallel called “I’m So High” and it sees him connect with like-minded soundboy Toddla T and R&B riser Tamera.
The perfect meeting point between Teezy’s soundsystem heritage and p-rallel’s new-school garage background, the production’s light and energetic with stuttering drum patterns and slick synth pads, but the star of the show is Tamera’s vocals and the infectious hooks and loops the two producers draw from her.
And as much as it’s a good, old-fashioned summer banger, it’s also a bit of a celebratory one for p-rallel who’s just rapped up a UK tour across Glasgow, Manchester, Brighton, Bristol, Liverpool and London, where he brought out a couple of special guests to keep him company.
