What a time to be a House Of Pharaohs fan.
After several years spent exploring solo ventures, rappers Sam Wise, BlazeYL, Bandanna, Kevin Taylor and Danny Stern are back with their new project, Only The House Vol. 1. This shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise, of course.
Last month’s grime-rap hybrid slammer, “New Era”, was never going to be a standalone drop from the South London collective with no follow-up. Produced by Jme (with some guest bars from the BBK CEO to boot), it was the perfect title, reintroducing the high-energy team to us and setting out their plans for a 2024 takeover.

Besides Jme, there’s only one other feature: Florida-hailing rapper Cochise. And on production, they’ve got Cage, Jamo, 0pul3nce and HERMXN. The result is a pretty varied collection, touching on grime, rap, trap and a handful of hip-hop sub- and microgenres besides.
“The beauty of creating this project has been in the process,” they explain in the press release. “From recording, directing our own videos to designing and manufacturing our own merch, creating this project uncovered depths of untapped potential within us. This is that raw and authentic charisma.”
While ‘Vol. 1’ would suggest a series is underway, nothing’s confirmed just yet. Either way, after all this time away, 11 tracks should be more than enough to sustain you.
