Double S is back with his first solo drop of the year, “Flow Motion”.

The North London MC has been relatively quiet on the release front these past couple of years, but after collaborating with pop-R&B riser ABISHA on the garage-tinged “Everything Falls Into Place”, he’s back in a big way.

Definitely one built for the raves, “Flow Motion” is a burst of energy from the get-go and never eases up. Producer CIN has whipped up a juiced-up 4x4 garage instrumental for him to shell over and he hits it with full force, breathlessly firing off punchlines in all directions. The visuals from Frostbite are just as energetic, only just keeping up with him as he bounces round the block with purpose.

A grime legend, who was also 1/3 of the late-2000s collective Marvell, Double S doesn’t seem to have lost what got him such a respected status in the scene: his sharp pen and even sharper way with flows.
