Late last week, after whipping up a burst of online hype, UK rap stars Dave and Central Cee released their first collaborative single, “Sprinter”, a summer-ready jam splashed with Latin guitar licks and drum patterns. As it turns out, that was just the first slice of a new EP the pair have just shared called Split Decision.
Released on Sunday night, the suprise drop features three additional tracks: ”Trojan Horse”, “Our 25th Birthday”, and “UK Rap”. Much of the EP was produced by Dave with additional production from Jonny Leslie, Jo Caleb, Jim Legxacy, TR, Kyle Evans and Kamal.
“Our 25th Birthday” continues the series of birthday freestyles Dave started with “My 19th Birthday” on his Game Over EP, which he followed up with “My 24th Birthday” last year. This edition (fairly obviously) celebrates both of their birthdays, Cench’s yesterday (June 4) and Dave’s today (June 5).
