Drake takes on a more cosmetic role on “Solid” and lets Young Thug and Gunna take the reins on this Slime Language 2 cut, but he still delivers an earworm of a hook before Thug anchors the track. “I need some head and some moral support from you right away” is a line that only Drake could pull off in the same way. “I just counted 10 million, all cash, and got head from the Feds (Woo),” is a Young Thug-ism that he makes work. —Jordan Rose

7. “Bubbly”

“Bubbly” is just as euphoric and vibrant as the song title would suggest. Over upbeat production, co-produced by Wheezy, Young Thug captivates listeners with dizzying bars, rapping, “Ridin' in the Porsche, rockin' Tom Ford/ I ball at Barneys, new Christian Dior/ I took the jet to the New York store.” It’s also worth noting that Travis Scott is a guest on the track as well, providing a seamless transition into the second part of the song. As the beat switches, Drake takes off with a suave and cocky verse. “Bubbly” is a standout from Thug’s album, Punk. —Jessica McKinney

Drake always shows up for his friends, and he does a great job heralding the beginning of Young Thug’s album Business is Business on “Parade on Cleveland.” Drake’s verse is short, but it does exactly what it needs to do and segues perfectly into a jail call with Thugger, which is the only moment on the album where listeners hear from Thug in the present and not through the pre-recorded verses he delivers. “Business is business, you owe me this time/Slime on your head, Nickelodeon time,” Drake croons, opening the album on a strong note. —Jordan Rose

5. “D4L”

“D4L” might have ended up on Dark Lane Demo Tapes, Drake’s mixtape composed of leaked music, but the track is certainly not a throwaway. The song's production is a cohesive fusion of trap and melodic elements, providing a compelling backdrop for Drake and Young Thug. On the song, Drake delivers charismatic verses, while Young Thug is also energetic and smooth while weaving in and out of verses. It’s important to note, though, that Thug and Drizzy don’t do it on their own. This song also features Future, who holds his own weight on the record with an inimitable flow. “D4L” is definitely one of the most hype and energetic songs on this list.  —Jessica McKinney

One of Drake and Young Thug’s superpowers is that they can balance being great rappers while also being silly, goofy dudes, and make both aspects of their personalities work in harmony. “Way 2 Sexy” speaks to this dance that the duo often does on tracks, except leaning heavily into the silly, goofy territory. “Way 2 Sexy” was extremely polarizing when it first dropped on Certified Lover Boy, but the song encapsulates one of the central themes of the album, Drake, Young Thug, and Future love themselves as much as they love the beautiful women they chase. Add in some Thug ad-libs and Drake in a fat suit for the music video, and you have a meme classic. —Jordan Rose

Drake and Young Thug are already a dynamic duo, but when Metro Boomin hops on the beat, you know it’s going to be a hit. “Oh U Went” is a slick and expertly crafted record that finds Thug and Drake blending their distinctive style. What works best on the track, is Thug taking command of the chorus with a slick delivery while Drake lays down a lengthy verse, spitting, “I got more stones than a cemetery I got more streams than y'all in February.” With a catchy hook and memorable bars, the song continues to take Drake and Thug’s partnership to another level.  — Jessica McKinney

"Ice Melts" serves as the second official collaboration between Drake and Young Thug. The track, which was featured on Drake's 2017 “playlist,” More Life, showcased the early signs of their remarkable chemistry as a duo. Produced by Supah Mario, the song boasts a hypnotic, tropical beat that sets the stage for Young Thug's infectious energy and unique flow on the chorus. Drake's contribution is equally impressive and flawlessly complements Young Thug's delivery, with slick verses revolving around a mysterious love interest. "Ice Melts" is a testament to their joint talent for crafting hits that have become classics.  —Jessica McKinney

Drake and Young Thug tell their stories differently, but they know how to get their point across. “Sacrifices” is one of Drake’s best narrative verses of his career because he walks listeners through the specifics of his life at that point, and Thug does the same but in his own unique way.

The best way to describe Young Thug’s flow in this song is slippery. Each verse glides off the last as Thug finds new and unique ways to weave double entendres into his bars. “You come with beef, I eat a B/I'm talkin' B’s, spellin' bee (Sheesh)/Double R, that's a Rolls/Paint it yellow like it's dairy/I'm talkin' Rose like Derrick/I'm talkin' rolls like a belly (Woo),” Thug spits, utilizing different homophones to flex his lyrical muscle. “Sacrifices” proves Thug and Drake are at their best when they tell their story, their way. —Jordan Rose
