Intro
Nowadays there's no way to make a living in the music business without hitting the road. And yes, that's true even for a chart-topping band like Gym Class Heroes. In the past few weeks alone, GCH finished their European tour, went straight to Indianapolis for Super Bowl week, and hit the road again for a U.S. tour—including selected dates with T-Pain. Obviously, these guys stay on the grind. Honestly, it might be a while before they get their "Ass Back Home."
So we figured it would be cool to catch up with the crew as they criss-crossed the U.S. and they agreed to bless us with The Gym Class Heroes Tour Diary. We're going to get a first-hand look at what really goes down when these guys aren't on stage. Today's entry features pictures and blurbs written by the band's dummer and co-founder Matt McGinley. Stay tuned for more diary entries from each member of the band. OK, time to hit the road.

Pro-flyer & hype vocalist extraordinaire, Marc De Jesus—just coming back from Europe, we made a brief pit stop in Indianapolis for a few performances. I guess there was some big, important football game going on or something.

Trav (vocals) & Eric (bass) Super Bowling it. We're New York boys—so you know who we were pulling for. As you can see, Trav was having some repressed hometown guilt—but his heart was absolutely in the right place. Seats so close make you wanna slap yo' mama!

New toy for the Snowstorm Tour—Moog Voyager. Analog is great because in many ways it's a lot like digital - but you can act way more pretentious when you're playing it! Pictured is our Tyler Pursel—in the throws of snobbery.

Just recently, we've began renovating our backstage selection of junk food in favor of healthier alternatives. The dried fruits used to be gummi bears and the vegetable tray used to be Funyuns, Bugles, and Nerds Ropes.

Field trip to Mount Rushmore on our way to the next stop of the tour in Rapid City, South Dakota. I honestly thought the heads would be massively larger. But I tried to feign excitement anyways so as not to bum out the presidents—I mean, they were looking right at me. Pictured is Kyle Henderson—our resident guitar doctor.
