If you miss the era of rap where artists would constantly remix each other's songs and release mixtapes full of verses over other rapper's beats, you're in luck. Trippie Redd says he's been inspired by Lil Wayne and plans to drop a Dedication-style mixtape soon.

"I’m gonna do a mixtape on some Wayne shit, where he remixes a lot of songs—like Dedication," Trippie told HotNewHipHop in a new interview. "Because Wayne’s my favorite artist."

The Ohio artist also confirmed that Lil Wayne will be on his forthcoming debut album after previously teasing a song they worked on together.

Explaining that his debut album will be different than his previous mixtapes, Trippie added, "People get that confused a lot because they actually do sound like album work. I’m on to the more timeless aspect, I made a lot of love songs and I made a lot of turnt up songs. Now it’s like, with A Love Letter To You 2, I ventured off and made a couple of different kinds of vibes. And now it’s more so like I’m speaking and saying shit that you can relate to and really vibe with."

Elaborating on what he perceives as "timeless music," Trippie put to bed any thoughts of saltiness for not being included on Drake's "Gold's Plan" when he said, "Anything Drake drops is timeless. It’s always timeless, it’s always lit. He just says stuff people can relate too. No matter if you like it or not, you could hate Drake, he always says stuff that everybody can relate to. Facts."

Later in the interview, he revealed he's cooking something up with Marilyn Manson. "I had to listen to Uzi because of Marilyn Manson, because Marilyn Manson is from where I’m from," Trippie explained. "That’s how I even heard about Uzi. His management got in contact with us, so me and Marilyn Manson gonna make something. It’s gonna be an amazing song."

The buzzing rapper isn't content to limit himself to music, though. He also said he's been inspired by his time in New York City to start acting and making movies. "This is where Broadway shit happens, and movies and shit like that," Trippie said. "I just love movies. I make my music videos [as] movies. I have the money for it now. Why wouldn’t I make movies out of music videos? I want to be an actor. I want to make my own Netflix originals. I want to make my own animes."
