Chief Keef's Hologram Benefit Concert for Slain Toddler is Postponed

The organizer blames a meddling priest who allegedly helped shut it down.

Chief Keef was ready to perform a benefit concert to honor the toddler who was murdered in the aftermath of a shooting involving Glo Gang member Capo. However, it’s been postponed, according to the event’s organizer Alki David.

In a statement provided to the Chicago Tribune, David states that Rev. Michael Pfleger, a pastor at St. Sabina Catholic Church is to blame. "The meddling, attention seeking Father Pfleger, who bullied the owner of the downtown theater to back out of his contract, will not succeed. He is exploiting this tragedy and taking money away from the victims and solid charities who are doing good work in Chicago."

Pfleger denied the accusations and said he never spoke to the venue. He did write on Facebook opposing the whole idea earlier this week: "Instead of having a concert ... why doesn't he man up and acknowledge it's time to stop this violence and apologize for his part in it!!!!"

A representative of Redmoon Theater confirmed Pfleger didn’t come in contact with anyone at the venue. They declined to host the concert because they didn’t fully understand what it was for. The plan was to have Keef projected through a hologram on stage as the rapper performed in Beverly Hills, Calif.
