British singer-songwriter JGrrey is today sharing the highly-anticipated visuals for her song "Half Full", taken from her much-loved Ugh EP.
Hailing from South London, the 24-year-old artist has been making some serious waves within UK R&B. Having received praise across the music industry for her laid-back, future-facing take on the sound, JGrrey has been proving herself to be one of the most exciting acts to emerge from the UK.
Featured on her five-track-project Ugh, which dropped last year, "Half Full" sees JGrrey fusing candor and confidence with her smooth and effortless vocals on this angelic-sounding single. Capturing the duality of love, she lays down honest lyrics against the hazy and melodic beat as she thinks about the unwanted end of a relationship.
Directed by Remi Laudat, the video takes place in multiple dream-like settings, showcasing the complexities of navigating the post-relationship limbo. Speaking with Complex over email, JGrrey said: "'Half Full' is just a super laid-back n' lazy visual that represents the tempo and the feel of the video with all the different styles and aesthetics that JGrrey can be."
