Jay-Z went off on his "3 Kings" verse with Rick Ross and Dr. Dre, which instantly became one of the most talked about rhymes of the summer after the song's debut last night. Towards the end of the verse, Hov raps, “Used to shop at T.J.Maxx back in ’83/I don’t even know if it was open then.” Well, T.J.Maxx cleared that up for him with the tweet below, letting him know that the store was in fact open in 1983. Actually, T.J.Maxx first opened its doors in 1977. Don't doubt yourself next time, Jay!
Hey @S_C_, thanks for the shout out! We opened in March 1977 and have been keeping stylish men in designer labels for less ever since.
