Prior to becoming one of the biggest rappers of his era, Cam’ron was among the best high school basketball players in New York City.

Ranked as a top 25 recruit in the Class of 1994, the Dipset leader, alongside teammate and fellow Harlem native Mase, helped end a historic winning streak held by the legendary Lincoln High School, which featured future NBA All-Star Stephon Marbury. Cam would later claim that he received scholarship offers from college basketball powerhouses such as North Carolina, Syracuse, Duke, and Georgetown.

Over the weekend, Cam’ron’s son posted a video of the Dipset lieutenant reminiscing on his childhood in Harlem, which included tales of him busting “n***as asses” on the basketball court.

“I used to bust n***as asses,” Cam’ron said in the clip. “You don’t even know your father was the nicest n***a on the court.”

After waxing poetic about his basketball talent, Cam discussed meeting up with girls at Grant’s Tomb in West Harlem, the burial site of former United States President Ulysses S. Grant.

“Soon as we left there, we went to Grant’s Tomb every Thursday,” he shared. “It was wild bitches at Grant’s Tomb, like super… mad bitches. So we would get fresh. You know about Grant’s Tomb, right?” Cam went on to chastise his son for not knowing of Grant’s Tomb. “The fuck you don’t know about Grant’s Tomb? You bugging,” he joked.

Other topics covered in Cam’s story session include smoking weed with his crew, a shootout involving him and his friends, and his days selling drugs.
