Miley Cyrus just scored her second No.1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and SZA has offered up her congratulations while teasing a potential collab.
In a tweet shared this week, SZA praised Miley after her track “Flowers” debuted at the top spot on the Hot 100. “MAJOR congrats to Miley !!!” wrote SZA, who currently sits at No. 2 on the chart the ‘SOS’ highlight “Kill Bill.” “Excited for her album and to work together.” It’s unclear if the two currently have plans to hop in the studio together, but it seems as though SZA would be down for it if they haven’t already discussed the idea.
“You are KILLING it,” wrote Miley in response. “Congratulations! Sending love.”
In another pair of tweets, SZA thanked her fans for her continued success on both the Hot 100 chart and Billboard 200 album chart. "Also thank you for 6 WEEKS AT NUMBER ONE," she wrote. "never thought I’d even get one week tbh.. God is so excellent 🤍 thank y’all fr 🆘." She also shared a screenshot of a tweet that reported she has become the first female artist in Billboard Hot 100 history to have 10 or more songs charting for six consecutive weeks.
“This is also wild as fuck,” she wrote. “THANK YOU. Surprises coming soon.”
SZA’s tweets come not long after she got a shout-out from Taylor Swift, who topped the Hot 100 with her Midnights single “Anti-Hero.”
“What on Earth I love you guys,” Swift wrote in an Instagram Stories update, as seen below. “PS – Been listening to [SZA’s] album nonstop. Absolutely adore her music. So much love and respect for her!!”
