Freddie Gibbs is trolling Benny the Butcher over his unreleased Drake collaboration after the two traded shots on social media.

The rappers got into a minor feud of sorts after Benny was asked about any potential collaborations with Gibbs. He said that the opportunity to do more with the Gary, Indiana rapper “came and went, to be honest with you,” but it’s “all love.” Gibbs caught wind of the situation, and asked for other rappers to “keep my name out y’all mouth” as a result. Now Benny has appeared to add gasoline to the fire with a tweet claiming that Gibbs “begged” to work on more music with him.

“How can u hate on a n***a u begged to do an album with,” he wrote, not directly addressing who he’s talking about.

How can u hate on a nigga u begged to do an album with…TT4 OUT NOW !!!

Right before the Oscars stole his attention due to Will Smith slapping Chris Rock, Gibbs addressed the comment on Instagram Stories.

“N***az whole marketing plan for they album is to beef with Freddie Gibbs. That’s cute,” he wrote on his @cantkilltherabbit account. “If U opened up for me before just be grateful. Next time just get the Drake verse cleared and u ain’t gotta do all this for promo. … Why would I beg a n***a to work with me when he do less than me? 😂"

Early last year, Benny said that he had a song with Drake but for whatever reason something prohibited it from coming out. "You know how this industry is, some songs never see the light of day but we definitely talked about these songs coming out," Benny said on The Complex Sports Podcast.

Benny dropped his album Tana Talk 4 earlier this month, while Gibbs has been flexing his acting muscles in the comedy series Bust Down and the 50 Cent-produced Power Book IV: Force.
