Kid Cudi and The Weeknd had a bit of fun on social media, possibly teasing a collaboration together somewhere down the line. On Thursday, Cudi took to Twitter to remind fans that his upcoming HBO drama series We Are Who We Are will be airing in September, and while some fans thought he was talking about his next album dropping then, others took this opportunity to see if he had any collabs with The Weeknd planned.
One inquisitive fan begged the question, can we expect any sort of collaboration between Cudi and Abel in the future? Cudi then asked Abel himself, to which he replied with a treacherously happy gif of Jack Nicholson from the movie Anger Management.
Fans were obviously hyped by the potential joining of forces.
It's just the latest bit of great news that Cudi fans are getting this week. Recently, Kid Cudi received his first No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 debut from his song "The Scotts" with Travis Scott.
Cudi shared the moment and his excitement with his fans on Twitter as well, tweeting how happy he was to reach this milestone. The Weeknd also joined in congratulating Cudi for the accomplishment.
The Weeknd also reason to celebrate as well, with his co-produced episode of American Dad! recently airing, as well as his original song for it. We don't know if we'll be getting any Cudi x The Weeknd music anytime soon, but hopefully the two can keep dropping more hints as we wait.
