Almost 20 years ago to the day, Irish pop duo Moloko (which consisted of the phenomenally talented Mark Brydon and Róisín Murphy) released their Platinum-selling smash "The Time Is Now". One of the duo's least electronic outings, "The Time Is Now" was beyond ubiquitous and has since become synonymous with the turn of the millennium. To celebrate the momentous anniversary, Grammy-nominated Switzerland artist EDX has just turned in this dramatic and euphoric cover version.

Flipping everything on its head, EDX takes the muted soul of Murphy's vocals and transforms them into a euphoric chant. Similarly, the restrained instrumentation has been swapped for an endorphine rush of floor-filling electronics — a fitting tribute to the chart-dominating duo who made much of their love affair with dance music in all its forms.
