With a prime mission of creating the best possible services for artists and labels to earn money from their music, online music store Bandcamp has made a solid step in supporting those under their wing during the Coronavirus pandemic.

With many fears surrounding the virus affecting small businesses, the same amount of panic has connected itself to musicians, with live shows and even full tours being cancelled.

Luckily, Bandcamp has taken a positive step towards keeping musicians afloat: through donating all service fees received from music and merchandise sales directly to the artist whose work is purchased. This will take place on March 20 for the whole day.

To support musicians during the Covid-19 pandemic, Bandcamp is waiving our revenue share on all sales this Friday, March 20, from midnight to midnight PST.

In a blog post on the site, Bandcamp CEO and co-founder, Ethan Diamond, said: "The Covid-19 pandemic is in full force and artists have been hit especially hard as tours and shows are being canceled for the foreseeable future. With such a major revenue stream drying up almost entirely, finding ways to continue supporting artists in the coming months is now an urgent priority for anyone who cares about music and the artists who create it."
