Halloween may be a long way off, but that doesn't mean we can indulge ourselves in a little horror every now and again. You could opt for a vintage slasher film or something a bit more psychological, but if you only have a few minutes to spare we'd suggest this very unsettling new video from NY rapper Marques Martin. Inspired by masters like David Lynch and John Carpenter, the Lou Palace-directed video for Marques Martin's new single "Hailey" presents us with a dimly-lit black and white shot of Martin's face, yelling his unrequited love story in a perpetual state of anguish. There's no gore, no violence and no blood, but there's something very Twilight Zone about the shadowy silhouettes that remain just out of focus while the relentless drums in the self-produced instrumental march us towards a conclusion we're not quite sure we want.

Strap yourself in and beware.
