YG has reportedly told police that over $400,000 in jewelry was stolen from his hotel room in Los Angeles. As law enforcement sources told TMZ, YG filed a report for grand theft in L.A. on Monday, although he said he noticed the jewelry was gone on New Year's Day when he woke up.

Sometime between New Year's Eve and the following morning, YG noticed a briefcase filled with jewelry wasn't quite as heavy as it usually was. He had placed the briefcase on top of a safe in a hotel room at the London in Beverly Hills. It's unclear why he waited around a week to notify the authorities, but he said multiple people had been entering and exiting room all night as he celebrated the end of 2019. Authorities have yet to identify any possible suspects, but surveillance footage of the surrounding area will be reviewed as the investigation is ongoing.

The news comes just as YG kicked off 2020 with an apology to the LGBTQ+ community. "It's been brought to my attention that my old views on life was ignorant," he wrote in apologetic tweet. "I apologize to the LGBTQ kommunity for ever komin across like I was anything but respectful and accepting. Live. Love. Ya Life. Gang!"

While he didn't explain what prompted his apology, he was still applauded by fans for his message.
