CB Provides 'A Drillers Perspective' On Captivating 16-Track Project

Sadly, this is likely the last we'll be hearing from the Forest Gate rapper for a while.

Forest Gate rapper CB, the man behind seminal drill tune "Take That Risk", might be behind bars for the foreseeable future, but he did manage to push out a new mixtape—A Drillers Perspective—before he went away.

Although most of the tape is still built around the rugged UK drill sound he made his name on, A Drillers Perspective keeps it varied with more melodic instrumentals like GSF's production on "My Life" or M1 On The Beat's piano-led "Top Of The League" instrumental. Of course, with CB it's his fast-talking, double-tap flow that stands out, pushing the tempo and setting the project's energy levels at every turn. The rest of the set's production comes from 5ive Beatz, BKay, Hazey, JB Made It, MarzBeatz, Mazza, MikaBeats, MK The Plug, Quincy, Sapphire Beatsz and SwavyBeats.

Another section of the project that bears mentioning is "Make It Home", which carries particular weight as the rapper drops the bravado and talks candidly about getting off the roads and staying out of prison. Which, of course, was sadly not to be. Likely the last we'll hear from the East London rapper for a while, take in A Drillers Perspective below.
