The Weeknd fans have one more reason to be thankful.

The Grammy-winning artist served up his new single "Blinding Lights" on Thursday, just two days after he came through with "Heartless." We got our first taste of the record earlier this week with the release of a Mercedes-Benz ad. The video showed The Weeknd driving the all-electric EQC model as "Blinding Lights" plays in the backdrop.

"We are delighted about the collaboration with Abel Tesfaye, better known as The Weeknd," Bettina Fetzer, Mercedes-Benz's vice president of marketing, said in a press release. "The cooperation was inspiring and gave us lots of new and creative impetus. Abel’s talent as the creative director and performer is the right combination for this unique Mercedes moment on the road to an electric future."

In support of the campaign, Mercedes-Benz also shared a short film featuring "Blinding Lights" and starring The Weeknd, who served as the visual's creative director.

You can check out the Mercedes-Benz short film above and stream the new single now on all major platforms. A few days after releasing the song, The Weeknd also shared a lyric video for the track. Check it out up top.

"Blinding Lights" and "Heartless" are expected to appear on the follow-up to 2018's My Dear Melancholy, EP. The Weeknd confirmed he was in "album mode" back in August; however, he has not provided any information on when the project is expected to drop. Regardless, he does seem pretty excited for this next entry.

we’re creating a beautiful new universe. haven’t been this excited in a very long time.

Following its release, "Blinding Lights" shot up to No. 1 in the iTunes store, replacing "Heartless," which currently sits as the most-streamed song on Apple Music and Spotify. "Blinding Lights" will likely dethrone "Heartless" there as well this weekend.

In other news, The Weeknd will be performing on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on both December 5th and 6th.
