Berlin-based producer Ben Esser is back with his first single in two years, "Stripes", a hazy piece of soul perfectly fitted for those days spent bathing in sunlight creeping in through closed curtains. Gentle in its approach, the track gathers steam thanks to contributions from New York-based emawk and UK guitarist Beau Diako. Together, the pair have crafted an idyllic piece of songwriting that can't fail to put you in a good mood.

Speaking with Complex via email, Esser told us: "While working with Beau on his upcoming release, we had loads of ideas and small melody fractions that needed to be developed into full songs. Around the same time, my good friend Donna from Lekker Collective excitedly showed me emawk's track '18', which I fell hopelessly in love with. When visiting NYC earlier this year, emawk and I linked up at his friend Zach's studio near Madison Square Park. We started working on one of the little snippets I'd created with Beau 'til like 5am — paving the foundation for the song."
