Fabolous and Emily B

UPDATED 07/26/19 1:51 a.m. ET: Fabolous took to social media to say that he and Emily B have not broken up. "We are a couple working on our relationship. That @tmz story & blogs are LIES," he wrote on IG.

A follow-up TMZ report disputes Fab's response, with the outlet claiming a source close to Emily said the two have not been together for almost a year, and that it was Emily who called it off.

See original story below.

Fabolous is apparently back on the dating scene.

Sources tell TMZ the 41-year-old rapper and his longtime girlfriend, Emily B, recently called it quits, putting an end to their relationship that resulted in two children. Insiders say Fabolous is now actively dating, but they did not indicate whether he was pursuing anything serious.

News of the split arrives about a week after Fabolous was spotted at a New Jersey restaurant with an unidentified woman. Though the nature of the lunch date is currently unknown, many suspect it wasn't business-related. We also don't know what exactly led to Fabolous and Emily's break-up, as they have yet to publicly confirm their relationship status.

Now it's no secret that the couple—or former couple—has endured plenty of ups-and-downs since they began dating. In 2018, about three years after they welcomed their second child together, Fabolous was arrested for allegedly assaulting Emily. The rapper was accused of punching Emily multiple times and knocking out her front teeth. She claimed Fabolous had also threatened to kill her.

Per North Jersey.com:

Court documents show the alleged crime stemmed from an earlier incident on March 7, when Jackson while in Los Angeles on a business trip ‘became enraged’ when he found out via Instagram the victim was also in Los Angeles.

Fabolous was ultimately arrested for the alleged assault and was indicted on one count of domestic violence with significant bodily injury, two counts of threatening to kill, and one count of possession of a weapon. He accepted a plea deal in the case, as Emily and her family stood by his side.
