Prince's Originals album, due for wide release June 21, will be marked by a Tidal-backed listening party in Los Angeles hosted by JAY-Z.

The JAY-hosted event goes down on June 6, with Rolling Stone reporting that Tidal has put together JAYless listening events across the globe with additional spots planned for Poland, Brazil, and elsewhere. The new album, which gives fans the late Purple One's versions of megahits he wrote for other artists, will also be celebrated with WeWork-hosted events billed as an "In-Office Prince Day" for spots in Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and more.

"Our only goal is to share Prince's music with his fans as he wanted," JAY previously said of the streaming service's agreements with the estate, adding that the Tidal team will "continue to respect and honor Prince's enduring legacy and wishes with this new collection."

Prince-penned cuts featured on Originals include "Manic Monday," "You're My Love," "Nothing Compares 2 U," and more. Ahead of the wide release date of June 21, Tidal users will get exclusive 14-day early access to stream the songs in master quality starting June 7. The tracklist was co-curated by JAY and Troy Carter, on behalf of Prince's estate.

"Members will be able to hear the recordings just as the Artist intended the tracks to sound," a Tidal rep said previously.

Prior to his death, Prince had words of praise for Tidal's approach to the streaming industry, saying that it was obvious "after one meeting" that they recognized the work that goes into the artist's life.
