For those that don't know, hassling a DJ to play a record might be the quickest way to not hear the song you've requested. However, one would think that a rap star like Slim Jxmmi would be an exception to the rule. But as evidenced by his recent altercation, no one is above the de facto turntable laws.

In footage obtained by TMZ, one half of the hit-making duo Rae Sremmurd, can be seen hopping over the booth and attacking a DJ during his set at the University of North Florida's OZFEST Spring concert. Several blows were thrown before Jxmmi was eventually dragged out of the section by what appears to be security guards. According to those in attendance, Jxmmi instructed local disc jockey DJ Saturday to play a certain record during his performance. When Saturday didn't oblige, the two had a heated back-and-forth that ended with Jxmmi scaling the booth.  Jxmmi eventually returned to the stage to finish the concert alongside DJ Saturday and Swae Lee, who was there but did not perform.

Though some witnesses believe that the fight was over song selection, other sources told TMZ that the man Jxmmi swung at was actually in the lighting department, and had clashed with Rae Sremmurd's personal DJ earlier.

Slim Jxmmi is no stranger to confrontation. In addition sending social media threats, Jxmmi recently was involved in a brawl in New Zealand. In January, the rapper and his team were reportedly walking through downtown Auckland, when they were followed by a fan recording them. This irritated the group and a fight broke out. An unnamed victim was reportedly stabbed during the altercation and received treatment at a local hospital.
