Adelaide may be the city of churches, but Variations Of Light are the real blessing. The group comprises Nelson Dialect, Alnitak Kid, and keyboardist Nate88 coming together to create a smorgasbord of soul. Their new single “Petty Love” epitomises that.
“Petty Love” blends old soul and new ideas seamlessly. Detroit vocalist Melanie Rutherford’s vocals flow effortlessly over the dreamy, jazzy production, with the flurry of keys creating a jam-like feel that separates Variations Of Light from their peers.
