Freddie Gibbs and Madlib continue to gear up for their release by dropping off their new track, "Bandana."

This record is a stark difference from the "Flat Tummy Tea" single that Gibbs and Madlib used to reintroduce the world to MadGibbs. Rather than balancing both playful and conscious content over a distorted beat, Freddie uses the project's title track to wave his Vice Lord affiliations over an ominous, reggae-inspired instrumental that matches his trademark tone.

Gibbs lyrics also give life to the track's theme, as he raps, "I be on the Vice Lord, Folk, Crip and Blood block/Catch him while he coming off work and go take the judge out/Richest n***a in the prison, million dollar mugshot."

And if the combination of Gangsta Gibbs and Madlib wasn't enough to bring listeners in, the duo tapped the talents of popular reggae artist Assassin to close out the song.

"Bandana" is set to be a digital bonus track from Madlib and Gibb's upcoming album of the same name. Bandana the tape will be the second installment of the MadGibbs series which began in 2014 when the pair dropped their Piñata project.
