Bristol bass legend Joker and East London grime vet Footsie are kicking off their 2019 the right way with new visuals for "Marching Orders", their collaborative single. Since its premiere last May on Sir Spyro's BBC Radio 1Xtra show, the drop has become a bass fan fave. Dubstep's growling basslines and grime's lyrical aggression have always gone hand in hand—both in the dance, and on wax—and here on "Marching Orders" we see another example of two worlds colliding to great effect.

Speaking with Complex via email, Joker told us: "Me and Footsie have been in contact for years! When I made the instrumental, there was something about the bassline that made me think of jungle/D&B—and when I think of MCs that I know fuck with some original old-school jungle shit, Footsie is one of the main guys that spring to mind. My plan now is to continue building my next project; this video is just a taster to kick the year off. I've got some exciting shit in the works, though: audio and visual. Last year I was more focused on working on other artists' project, but this year look out for me."
