Swae Lee Shares the Video for His Holiday Track "Christmas at Swae's"
Just in time for the holiday weekend.
Swae Lee is in the giving spirit.
Just a day after releasing "Christmas at Swae's," the Rae Sremmurd member has blessed fans with the track's official music video. The visual, co-directed by Niall O’Brien and Mike Will Made-It, is relatively straight-forward and simple. We see Swae in the middle of a secluded Christmas tree farm playing the slow-burning holiday track on a piano. He's completely alone, singing his heart out about a lost love.
"I was standing by the fire/Thinking I should write her/Doves cry from a songbird/Skipping heartbeats, it's my turn," he sings. "Light a candle, wish you were here/What a way to start the new year/Disappear into my nightmare."
You can check out the "Christmas at Swae's" video above. The track was released in conjunction with Slim Jxmmi's "Nothing for Christmas," a braggadocious anthem that is sure to turn up any holiday party.
Swae is now preparing to release the follow-up to Swaecation, his solo effort that appeared in Rae Sremmurd's three-disc SR3MM project. The Mississippi-bred rapper teased the release during a recent interview with Billboard, stating he was eyeing a 2019 drop.
"With this project, I'm not playing," he told the outlet. "I'm stepping on n****s' throats. I'm gonna up the standards for these 2010-whatever artists. I'm gonna push the music forward."
