Sonny Fodera's Solotoko label are back with their final release of the year, this time it's DJ and producer duo Tuff London with their new two-track EP, London Calling. Both A-side "Talk To Me" and its counterpart "Calling" are built around a framework of thumping 4x4 kick drums and a weighty bass line. The former peppers that with euphoric synths and an infectiously sweet vocal line for a gloriously old school house feel. The latter, however, cranks the energy up even higher by adding to that rhythm section with a big, uplifting brass sample. Expect to hear both of these in every club up and down the land for the next year or so.
