After Monday, the beloved international pastime known as Carpool Karaoke may never be the same.
The Late Late Show segment, in which one of the many late night Jimmys cruises around Los Angeles with a popular recording artist of interest, will next feature recent Grammy nominee Cardi B. That's not news, as we already knew that, but what is news is that this particular late night Jimmy has now shared a teaser clip.
Indeed, you can find the teaser for Cardi B x Carpool Karaoke up top. The full episode debuts Monday.
2018 has, to put it mildly, been absolutely stacked with career-defining moments for Cardi. Her debut studio album Invasion of Privacy was released back in April to both critically and commercial adoration, a wave of support that eventually resulted in those aforementioned Grammy nominations (including for Album of the Year). In the months since the album's release, Cardi has also linked with Maroon 5 and Bruno Mars for more of 2018's most ubiquitous hits.
"When I was, like, a nothing, everybody was rooting," Cardi B told CBS News during a sit-down broadcast chat last week. "And now that I'm finally here, people have a problem for it. Like, I feel like I work so hard, why do people feel like I don't deserve it? . . . I do snap out of it. And I do ignore it. It's just like, it drives you insane!"
Cardi B's fellow Album of the Year possibles include Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Post Malone, Kacey Musgraves, Janelle Monáe, Brandi Carlile, and H.E.R.
