Some of you who are unfamiliar with the great Jill Scott were shook after footage of the singer giving her all during a performance of the steamy “Crown Royal” from her 2007 album The Real Thing-Words & Sounds Vol. 3 surfaced online.
Video of the singer, as one Twitter user called it, “sucking air d*ck” went viral, thanks to a combination of shock and immaturity. While some praised Scott, other found a reason to be bothered by the performance.
The lyrics of “Crown Royal” speak for themselves, “Your diesel engine, I’m squirting mad oil/Down on the floor ’til my speaker starts to boil/I flip shit, quick slip, hip dip and I’m twisted,” and Scott’s performances are frequently sensual affairs. Longtime fans and followers of the soulful artist were far from surprised.
Eventually, Scott decided to jokingly address the austere reactions by building off her lascivious performance. “I sing/act out all kinds of stories. You should cum to my shows,” she tweeted. “After a Jill Scott show, most people get splendidly laid by whoever they came with.”
She ended the tweet with the legendary hashtag #stopfrontinyousuckdicktoo.
