Judge Threatens 6ix9ine With Jail Time If He Skips Court Again

The judge issued the warning Wednesday, after the controversial rapper missed a second court appearance.

6ix9ine will receive no more free passes.

After the controversial rapper missed another court date Wednesday (Oct. 10), a Brooklyn judge announced he will place 6ix9ine behind bars if he continues to be a no-show.

“Counselor, if your client is not here on Tuesday, [there’ll be] a bench warrant,” Judge Edwin Novillo told 6ix9ine’s legal team, according to the Page Six.

The “FEFE” artist has now missed two court hearings for a case in which he is accused of assaulting a police officer. 6ix9ine addressed the allegations in a since-deleted Instagram post, stating: “For all them stories [out there], n****s didn't touch the police, man. Them n****s is fuckin' corrupt. Them n****s beat the shit out of me, you know what I'm sayin’?”

The incident occurred back in May, when the rapper was arrested for driving without a license in Brooklyn. While he was being handcuffed, 6ix9ine allegedly squeezed a lieutenant’s hand so tight that it became swollen. He was subsequently charged with a misdemeanor.

According to Page Six, 6ix9ine’s lawyers have been making excuses for their client’s missed court dates, citing his robbery and kidnapping over this summer, as well as his busy schedule.

“The defendant was in Dubai, was in the Netherlands, and is trying to come back today,” 6ix9ine’s lawyer told the judge, before blaming flight delays.

“All that [means] is he should have booked a flight a day early,” a prosecutor responded.

6ix9ine’s next court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday (Oct. 16). If he wants to avoid more time behind bars, he’ll make an effort to actually show up.
