YoungBoy Never Broke Again and Kevin Gates have already let it known how close they are as collaborators, with Gates even going so far as to get a tattoo of YoungBoy's face earlier this year. But now they're taking their working relationship to another level with YoungBoy's new EP, 4RESPECT, a collection of four new songs all featuring fellow Baton Rouge-based rapper Kevin Gates.
Gates isn't the only guest on the project, though, as fellow Never Broke Again artist Quando Rondo joins the pair for "I Am Who They Say I Am." Listen to the EP via SoundCloud below.
YoungBoy has been keeping himself very busy this year, releasing two mixtapes as well as his debut studio album, Until Death Call My Name. It's clear from the release of 4RESPECT that he's eager to keep his momentum going, regardless of any legal issues. Kevin Gates, meanwhile, is currently prepping his Luca Brasi 3 project ahead of his upcoming tour.
Earlier this year, YoungBoy Never Broke Again was arrested in Tallahassee before being released on $75,000 bail. The rapper was later charged in court with counts of kidnapping and aggravated assault when disturbing footage of him allegedly assaulting his girlfriend Jania Jackson surfaced online. Jackson later said of the incident, "That's just us, that's just the way we play."
